9th Judicial District Attorney Senior Investigator Keith Bessette

In 2005, as he was beginning his new venture as Senior Investigator for the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s office, Keith Bessette was a guest on my one-hour talk show A Closer Look. He had just returned from Iraq, where he had been training their police force, as a military contractor.  We talked about his impressions of the people and the country of Iraq, what exactly he did while he was there, and how he experienced what was the largest explosion of it’s kind in country.

We also talk about how he was the first Clovis Police officer to be wounded by gunshot in the line of duty, and how he felt returning to the US after experiencing life in a different culture, that was constantly under attack.  In our final segment, the DA in 2005, Matt Chandler, joins us to explain why Keith was particularly suited for the job of DA Investigator.
